As a Web3 Developer Relations (DevRel) Engineer, you will be the bridge between our solution and the developer community. Your role will encompass technical writing, solution architecture, social media engagement, and traditional DevRel functions. You will work closely with developers to understand their needs, provide solutions, and advocate for our platform with the support of our engineering, marketing, and product teams.
Responsibilities:
Technical Writing:
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, tutorials, and guides to help developers understand and use our platform effectively.
- Write and maintain API documentation, SDKs, and other developer resources.
- Produce high-quality content for blogs, whitepapers, and technical reports.
Solution Architecture:
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement scalable solutions using our L2 platform.
- Provide architectural guidance and best practices for building on our platform.
- Assist developers in troubleshooting and optimizing their dApps and use cases.
Social Media Engagement:
- Actively engage with the developer community on social media platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, Discord, and others where needed.
- Share updates, answer questions, and support developers through social channels.
- Create and share engaging content, including videos, webinars, and live streams, to promote our platform and educate the community.
Traditional DevRel Functions:
- Organize and participate in hackathons, meetups, conferences, and workshops to promote our platform.
- Build and nurture relationships with key developers, influencers, and partners in the Web3 space.
- Gather feedback from the developer community and work with internal teams to improve our platform.
- Support developers throughout their journey, from onboarding to deploying and scaling their dApps.
Requirements:
-Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology, particularly Layer 2 solutions and the Ethereum ecosystem.
- Proficiency in smart contract development (Solidity) and familiarity with the Optimism stack.
- Experience with Web3 development tools and frameworks (e.g., Foundry, Hardhat, Web3.js, Ethers.js).
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Community Engagement:
- Proven experience engaging with developer communities through social media, forums, and events.
- Ability to create engaging content and foster community among developers.
- Solution Architecture:
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure blockchain solutions.
- Ability to provide architectural guidance and technical support to developers.
- Additional Skills:
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Passionate about blockchain technology and the Web3 movement.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences, meetups, and other events.
